Lovable + Supabase shipped axanardonors.com in November 2025 when fans needed a portal — fast, fragile, and intentionally temporary.

axanardonors.com on Lovable + Supabase — intentional lifeboat while Fly/Drupal absorbed profiles into Postgres.

Episode 4 marketing could not wait for a full Drupal cutover. Between May and November 2025 we stood up axanardonors.com on Lovable with Supabase auth and a donor database imported from legacy exports.

Gmail and git tell the timeline:

  • May 23, 2025 — campaign-tracker tooling connects to Supabase
  • Jul 31, 2025 — first explicit Axanar donor-site + Supabase planning
  • Aug 30, 2025 — Lovable OAuth wired to the Axanar Supabase org
  • Nov 8 & 27, 2025 — "Donor's Site is LIVE!" newsletters

The pilot did its job: donors returned, profiles repatriated, and Alec had a login surface for recognition and support. It also introduced critical security alerts by February 2026 and a second monthly platform bill on top of GoDaddy and Fly fragments.

We always treated Lovable/Supabase as a bridge, not the destination. Drupal Postgres on the production host absorbed profiles while the pilot ran — so sundown would be a billing switch, not a data archaeology project.
