Phase 5 sundown runbook

Phase 5: Sundown (Jun–Jul 2026)1DNS cutoveraxanar.com → Fly2Cancel Lovable301 → /portal3+30 daysCancel Supabase4+30 daysCancel GoDaddy5Mail & OAuthResend · Google CloudPremiere readiness: Jul 26, 2026One site · one login · one donor brain — not three fragile portalsExpected savings: ~$172/mo (~$2,064/yr)Set NEXT_PUBLIC_BASE_URL=https://axanar.com · remove SUPABASE_* after validation
DNS cutover → cancel Lovable → +30d Supabase → +30d GoDaddy — target savings ~$172/mo before premiere week.

This is the runbook as of September 2026 — Phase 5 sundown, with the production host already moved:

  1. Leave Fly — public site, CMS, and media run on the 1984 VPS. We do not deploy there anymore.
  2. DNS remaining — apex axanar.com still sits on WordPress/Sucuri until the SEO P0 gate is green; beta, cms, and media already point at 185.112.144.130
  3. Cancel Lovable at donor cutover — axanardonors.com 301s to /portal
  4. +30 days stable — cancel Supabase after Drupal validation; remove SUPABASE_* secrets
  5. Park WordPress after the apex flip — volunteer PDFs, Captain's Log, and film bytes must not depend on wp-content

More importantly, fans get one site, one login, one donor brain — not three fragile portals and not a rented US edge that can yank the account.

What to do as a donor today:

This eight-part series is the engineering story behind that cutover. It is a lesser-featured technical column next to Captain's Log. The personnel dossier lives on the Engineer's Log hub. Questions: axanartech@gmail.com.

End of series — Captain Q'Berry, USS Enyo (NCC-1666)

Engineer's Log — Unification series (Part 8 of 8)
